The remaining 13 victims of the Benue Links bus abduction have regained their freedom on Sunday morning. Our correspondent gathered that eight prospective candidates who were scheduled to sit for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination were among those released. The Commissioner of Police in Benue State, Ifeanyi Enemari, confirmed the development in an interview with journalists in Makurdi on Sunday morning. He said the victims were freed earlier in the day and were on their way to Makurdi, adding that a press briefing would be held upon their arrival to provide further details. The police also confirmed that some of the abducted passengers were rescued earlier during the operation.
